Stuff you need to know...
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is available from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, unless otherwise arranged. If you arrive outside of these times without prior arrangement we may not be here as we occasionally have commitments in the evenings. Therefore, please let us know in advance if you plan to arrive later than 8.00pm as we want to ensure someone is here to welcome you.
Check-out is by 10.00am, unless otherwise arranged.
Payment
Payment to secure a reservation is a deposit of the first night’s stay per room booked and is payable by credit or debit card.
Cancellation Policy
In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to cancel your stay with us, we require 7 days notice. We will then be able to refund your deposit minus a £10 administration fee.
If cancelled after this time (less than 7 days notice) the reservation deposit is lost, unless we are able to re-let the room. If the room is re-let we will be able to refund you the deposit minus a £10 administration fee. We are a small business and rely mostly on forward bookings, so cancellations can have a significant impact on us.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) we will charge the full cost of the entire booking to the card you have provided details of when making the reservation. No further consent will be required from you to make this charge.
If after your arrival you choose to curtail your stay and leave before the end of the full duration of your booking, we reserve the right to charge you an amount up to the full balance for your booking.
A reservation is a legally binding contract, therefore, we strongly advise that you have travel insurance to cover you if you need to cancel. We are happy to provide a receipt for claims against your travel insurance.
Non-availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Pets
Unfortunately, with the exception of assistance dogs, we do not allow pets to stay at Ravenswood House.
Damages and Breakages
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. Stains and spillages are less costly to clean if reported promptly, if at all. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Lost Property
If you leave any of your property at Ravenswood House, we are more than happy to send it on to you—if you call or email and ask for it. We will email you a range of prices e.g. recorded delivery, first, second class etc, for you to choose your preferred cost point for it’s safe return. This will be based on it’s weight, size and packaging at the Post Office.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the property or grounds of Ravenswood House, please not this includes ecigarettes/ vaping. If you wish to smoke you may do so on the other side of the red brick wall surrounding the garden.
Anyone not complying with this will be asked to leave the premises. Should anyone be, or have been, smoking on the premises at any time, we reserve the right to charge up to £200 to the card used to make a booking to cover the cost of short-notice deep cleaning of the room/ other areas affected.
