Covid-19
Things are a little different at the moment since the pandemic, but at Ravenswood House we are keeping things as normal and familiar as possible for our guests. We are continuing to provide the same great experience, whilst putting in the appropriate measures to help reduce the risk of our guests or us catching the virus.
We have successfully applied for the Good to Go Industry Standard to show that we are following guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing. Here is an overview of the procedures we’ve put in place. There is more detail below the image if you need it. If you have any questions about the procedures we’ve put in place please do ask.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
We will need to collect details of the lead guest who is staying. We will email you a registration form prior to your arrival. Please note that we will comply with GDPR rules when storing and using your data. Check-in is between 16.00 and 19.00. If you prefer to self check in, or if you’re planning to arrive after 19.00, please let us know in advance and we will send instructions for accessing your room.
When you arrive, please stand back 2M from the door after ringing the bell. We ask that guests use the sanitiser provided each time they come into the property.
On departure, please vacate your room by 10.00. We need to leave the room to air for at least an hour after you’ve departed before we can start cleaning. And cleaning is taking longer than usual!
As part of our new Covid cleaning measures please strip bedding and along with used towels, put it in the cream laundry bags provided. Please leave the key in the bedroom door on departure.
OUR ROOMS
We have always had a high standard of cleaning. We will be following extra procedures such as steam cleaning soft furnishings, replacing mattress and pillow protectors at each changeover and using eco-friendly sanitising spray on high use touch points such as TV controls at each changeover.
To protect both our guests and ourselves, we won’t be doing room tidies for stays of less than than 5 nights. We will leave a box outside you room for any used items such as crockery and towels that you wish replaced, and a checklist for you to fill in if you need more teas, milk etc.
IF YOU DEVELOP COVID-19 SYMPTOMS
Prior to your stay, if you are booked to stay with us and develop COVID19 symptoms or have been asked to self isolate, within 14 days of your stay please let us know as soon as possible and, as per government guidelines, do not travel to us.
If you need to cancel your stay due to COVID19 , we will refund your deposit or we will offer to move your stay to another date before mid December 2020 if you prefer.
If you develop COVID19 symptoms or are told to self isolate whilst you are staying with us, as per government guidelines, we will ask that you let us know and return home immediately. In this case we will refund for the unused nights of your stay, minus any reasonable expenses we have already incurred related to your stay.
If you are unable or unwilling to return home, you will be charged in full for extra nights incurred.
If you develop COVID19 symptoms or are told to self isolate within 14 days of staying with us, please email to let us know as soon as possible.
If we need to cancel your booking because we have developed COVID-19 symptoms or have been told to self isolate, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will offer to refund your deposit, or do our best to find another B&B locally for you to stay at if you prefer.
